Some vehicles comes with an HID option from the factory which only come in 35W. The only way to project a brighter light beam is to upgrade to a 55W ballast which allows you to keep and use the factory HID bulb and Kelvin color. If you choose either 35W or 55W ballasts, know that you are getting a reliable, tested and tried product with a 1 year warranty. |

APPLICATION NOTICE:HID bulbs are legal for use in the United States for Fog light only, and in unregistered off road vehicles, such as ATV, snowmobile, and off-road racing use. Not Compliant with DOT/FMVSS108 and not street legal in the USA for Headlights. International legality varies by country. Note: This usage regulation is not unique to DDM Tuning bulbs. All LED bulbs from all brands, regardless of marketing claims, are prohibited from street use in halogen headlights in the USA.

Originally bought one of these to replace Xentec ballast and the 35W is much brighter than the Xentec. Went back and picked up the full kit and kept the other ballast just in case.

Just got these 55w ballasts. Wow, my lights in my Jetta now compare to the OEM HIDs in my Bug. I recommend!
